Rural Services

Of the 121 crore Indians, 83.3 crore live in rural areas while 37.7 crore stay in urban areas, according to the Census of India’s 2011. ICSI is charged with assisting agencies associated with the rural communities to enhance the quality of life in rural India. With a carefully chosen staff of dedicated professionals, our agency strives to assist citizens of rural India through organizing conference, research, information sharing and educational opportunities through regional forums.

So far, urban areas have been the emphasis of services sector, but for a more equitable economic development, services need to be expanded to the rural areas also. It creates a huge potential for the services sector in the rural areas in the coming future. Our goal is to develop an organization-wide education and support system that provides seamless rural services.

We have also a designed a Rural Development Degree Course i.e. Bachelors in Management Studies of Rural Development. The objective of this course is to train and prepare young professionals so that they can promote, support and contribute towards progressive development of rural areas.
